Methods: Surveys of undocumented streams with gradients of 20% or less are carried out both in the fall, during salmon spawning, and in the spring, during outward migration of juveniles.  During the fall surveys, crews walk the creek until there is evidence of adults spawning or an obvious fish barrier is identified.  During the spring surveys, gee-traps are set to catch resident and out-migrating juvenile salmon.  For both surveys, salmon species and stream features are assessed (e.g., bank width, substrate type, woody debris) and documented.
